I'm Sara. Welcome to You Are Rembert!
I believe work and business are about more than systems, processes, goals, and getting things done.
They're about people.
People lead.
People follow.
People build businesses.
People work alongside one another.
People make mistakes, communicate badly, learn, grow, get frustrated, figure things out, and try again.
And yet, it's surprisingly easy to forget the humans in the middle of all of it.
That's why I created You Are Rembert.
A place for better conversations about work and business
You Are Rembert exists to explore the human side of work and business. The Library brings together ideas, conversations, and practical information about:
Leadership
How we lead, communicate, make decisions, build trust, and take responsibility.
Operations
The systems and structures that keep businesses moving, and how they affect the people using them.
Teams and people
How people work together, navigate conflict, and build healthier working relationships.
Personal and professional development
The skills, habits, and awareness that help us grow at work and in business.
People-first business
What it can look like to build businesses and workplaces that don't forget the humans inside them.
Why "You Are Rembert"?
The name is personal, but the idea behind it is bigger than me. I wanted to create a space where people could feel welcomed, heard, and seen.
Not a space where I'm going to pretend I have every answer. Not a space where every workplace problem gets wrapped up in a neat five-step solution. And definitely not a space where "people-first" is just something that looks good on a company website.
Instead, I want to create room for honest conversations. Sometimes that means sharing something practical. Sometimes it means challenging an idea. Sometimes it means asking a question that doesn't have an easy answer. And sometimes it means saying, "We're doing this wrong, and we need to talk about it."
What I Believe
People deserve to be treated like people at work.
Leadership requires both empathy and accountability.
Good systems should support people, not simply control them
Communication is a skill we can learn.
Businesses can be successful without losing their humanity.
Workplace problems are rarely as simple as they first appear.
Sometimes the most useful thing you can give someone isn't an answer. It's a different way to look at the problem.

My background has always brought me close to people, their challenges, and the systems they're trying to navigate.
My experience in human services, workforce development, case management, business operations, and team support has shaped the way I think about work.
I've seen what happens when people don't feel heard, when systems don't work for the people expected to use them, and how unclear communication can turn a small problem into a much bigger one.
I've also seen what can happen when someone takes the time to listen, create clarity, and approach a situation from a different perspective.
A little about me
So, what is this place?
It's a Library. A place to learn. A place to question. A place to think. A place to have conversations about the things we encounter at work and in business.
You might come here looking for an answer to a specific question. You might stumble across an article that makes you rethink something. You might disagree with me. That's okay.
I'd rather you leave with something worth thinking about, and hopefully, a little more hope for what work and business can be.
Welcome to You Are Rembert
Stay awhile. There's plenty to explore.
